The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. ~Psalm 19:1-4
According to Job, a hummingbird may have a lot to teach you about God…
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” ~ Job 12:7-10
The Word of God tells us over and over that we can learn about our Creator by looking at what His hand has made. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 12:22-31? Jesus told the disciples to ask the ravens how much they worry about food. Jesus tells us we have a lot to learn from the birds of the air and the flowers of the fields. All of creation points to a magnificent God, and we can learn from what they are saying about our faithful God!
I memorized Job 12:7-10 several months ago and then painted it to help aid in my memory.
LUKE 15:3-7
Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, “Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.” I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. ~ Jesus
