Happy Father’s Day
by sandihester
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. Psalm 68:5
I would like to say Happy Father’s Day to Daddy and Steve (my earthly fathers) and to God (my heavenly Father). I painted this card for my Dad for Father’s Day. He has a creative side to him too and is a big fan of my paintings :). The scripture reference on his card is Psalm 65:8 “Where morning dawns and evening fades You call forth songs of joy.”
Sandi: I really like this painting. Good stuff.
Thank you Marge! It was a quick one, but sometimes those turn out to be the best. I really stress when I paint something for someone. The stress really is on – you know it has to be good and then you second guess everything about it. But my Dad loved it too. He’s so encouraging about my art work. Thank you for your comments! I LOOOOOVE getting comments. I don’t think many of my friends know how to leave them, so I don’t end up getting many. So that makes it extra fun to get one. Yours were extra sweet too!

Sandi: It was so good to meet you at church yesterday. Remember me, Tina Davis’ mother and one that she bought your Africa picture. I have looked at all your paintings and just love them. This one for your father, was special. I didn’t have that kind of relationship with my earthly Father, but my Heavenly Father has certainly shown His mercies are new every morning, and that is what you picture has meant to me here. I would also like to say the other African painting is very special, especially since I have seen this first hand, and have been helping with an orphanage in Kenya.
May God continue to inspire you to minister to others through your art. What a precious gift! I am glad that you have stirred it up, and are sharing it with others. I am reminded about how the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to stir up the gift in him. In sharing it with others, you will constantly be stirring the gift and God will give the increase.
In His Service,
Katie
Oh Katie, that was such a blessing to meet you yesterday! Yes, I have a very special relationship with my Dad – he’s great! I bet the little girl is special with your job – when I get prints made I’ll let Tina know. Thank you for your sweet and encouraging words!
