Happy Father’s Day
by sandihester
In honor of our heavenly Father here are some very special verses about Him:
The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in His hands. Jn 3:35 I and the Father are one. Jn 10:30 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. Jn14:2 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jn 14:6
Man alive that is some good stuff!!! Some wonderful truths to think on today and to claim in our own lives. I pray you know the Father. I am so thankful my Daddy does! We are going to church with him tomorrow in Mt. Juliet and then having lunch with him. I’m sure it will be a special time. This is the card I painted for him. Grady is going to take him creek fishing for a Father’s Day gift – they will both love that! This is Grady’s first Father’s Day without his own father. Big Grady (as I called Grady’s dad) passed away last July 9th. Please keep Grady and his family in your prayers – I’m sure tomorrow will be a hard day for them. And to my Father above, I love You and treasure You more than anything this world has to offer!
I love the card Sandi. It reminds me of my sweet daddy. He took my children fishing just a few days before he died. This past visit to NC, we went down to the pond for the first time without him.
I will be praying for Grady.
Love you guys so much!
So sweet Susan! I’m sure that was hard – it’s weird the different things are hard when a loved one dies – so many small things can bring back sweet and sad memories. Thank you for your prayers for Grady! I miss you friend – we haven’t gotten together in forever!!! We need to plan something!
Sandi, again your painting reminds me of my daddy….how appropriate here at Father’s Day. He was a fishermen on the water and among men, too….and for that I am eternally thankful. He has been gone 4 years now but I still feel his presence when I see pictures like these. Thank you so much. I hope Grady had a good day with your daddy. My daddy told Roger not long before he died that Roger wasn’t just a son-in-law….he considered him a “good friend”. What a compliment for Roger and what a loss for him when Daddy died. I hope Grady has this kind of relationship with your dad.
Love you, Girl.
Barbara
Well Barbara, I’m learning all kinds of things about your dad! You had your dad around for quite a while – that’s awesome. Grady and Daddy had a great time together. My Dad called me yesterday just kiddy over how great a day Sunday was for him – I’m so thankful the Lord blessed him. Love you to friend!
