This And That
by sandihester
I will have a new addition at this next art sale – a “This and That” table. It will include some random creative things I’ve made throughout the year. The items on this table won’t be things I’ll necessarily always be making – they are just “itches” I’ve had and the “This and That” table will be an outlet for my creative “ideas”. Here’s a peak at some of those items:
Here are some of the necklaces I’ll have on the “This and That” table. Some have words on them, some are chokers or can be made into bracelets, and some look like pages torn from the bible or hymnal.
I’ve also made some shadow boxes that have aged hymnal pages in them – here is a picture of one on my shelf and a close-up picture so you can see some detail.
These may be the strangest items, but I love them. They are bowls made out of scripture pages (I have one with the name of Jesus on it and I’m working on making some out of hymnal pages). I’ve had these on my table for months now and am growing quite attached to them – so we’ll see if they actually make it to the “This and That” table – I’ll try my best to part with them :).
I’ve been quite busy getting ready for the sale so I haven’t been painting much. Here are the only two paintings I’ve done since I posted last.
oh my goodness, you know i absolutely LOVE those necklaces!!! they are beautiful!!! i can’t wait to wear one!! you continue to amaze and bless me, and i count it such a privilege to walk this journey of life with you.

Thank you Susan! Well, I wouldn’t be selling these necklaces or even my paintings if you had not pushed me to share my stuff with others :). I am so thankful you pushed me to do this – it’s been a blessing to share with others. Love you too Susan!
I have really enjoyed viewing your work. I love your use of color and all of the paintings are wonderful. I am awed. I would like to add your site to my links on my blog site if you don’t mind.
Thank you Susan! Thanks for taking time to look at my blog and for the sweet comment – I would be honored for you to add my site to your blog – go right ahead!
You have beautiful work!!! I thought your necklaces was too cute today at Terry’s. You are so talented. I’d love to come to your show! my email is taylorsmom012001@yahoo.com
It’s good to see you once a month since I don’t see you at church anymore. Have a great week!! :)-Angel
Thank you Angel! I’m glad you sent me your e-mail this way because my e-mail isn’t working right now. I’ll add you to my list and I’ll send you the details about the sale as soon as my e-mail is back up and running – I hope that’s soon!!! I’m glad we get to see each other once a month too at Terry’s – it’s hard when you’re on two campuses at church – well for that matter I don’t see a lot of my friends who are just in another service. Today was so good at Terry’s! Good to see you and thank you for the very kind comments – can’t wait to see you at the sale!!!
Hey Sandi,
I love all of the pics you posted…I love the bowls especially! I am so excited because I just realized your friends, the crowders, I know Beverly! She and I worked together in the internal medicine clinic at Vanderbilt! I love her! I went to their wedding! I just checked out their website from your link because I just had a hunch from your posts that it might just be her! Now I can communicate with her; it’s been forever. We are leaving for the beach early on the 26th… maybe I could come over another time or if you pick me out a bowl or picture I would love to buy a piece of your art. Pray about a piece that would be for our home and I will gladly go with whatever God lays on your heart. I miss you and Grady! Ava is growing like a weed! Hope to see you soon.
Love,
Jen
Thank you Jennifer! That is so cool that you know Beverly! She is great! We just love them to death. You guys have fun at the beach! I’m going to e-mail you with Beverly’s e-mail address and talk with you about art sale stuff.
Your watercolors are just lovely Sandi! I am most impressed with your heart though, and how you are combining your love for the Lord with your work! Blessings from another watercolor artist who desires to magnify our Lord!
